VIRTUAL
Chef Yia Vang will explore the diverse culture of Brooklyn Center using the medium of food. This cooking demonstration will take place in the Brooklyn Center Community Center in its Constitution Hall. Vang will reflect on what it means to be a refugee and his Hmong family’s experience, as well as the experience of so many immigrant and refugee families living in Brooklyn Center. This event culminates with Vang leading the audience in preparing a new dish for/with the Brooklyn Center community.
