A CLE OPPORTUNITY AS ENTERTAINING AS IT IS INFORMATIVE
Join us on Thursday, March 28th from 4-6pm for a Bench Bias Lingo CLE. It is valid for 2.0 CLE credits, dinner & drinks, and a ticket to the March 28th performance of Roe.
With an exemplary panel of attorneys and jurists, including Hennepin County Attorney Michael O. Freeman, Federal Judge Michael J. Davis, former Medtronic VP Joan Humes, and ACLU MN Legal Director Terri Nelson, the Mixed Blood Theatre – including Guthrie stalwarts Sally Wingert and Stephen Yoakam – presents a two hour presentation of theatre and expertise.
Bench Bias Lingo is two Supreme Court Cases (PGA Tour v. Martin and Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District No. 1) covering topics related to disability and race. Each exploration includes:
- A summary of the case
- A panel of attorneys and/or judges discussing the relevant issues of the case
- A company of professional actors performing edited transcripts compiled from oral arguments
- A facilitated audience/panelist discussion led by attorney/actor Chris Carlson of Narrative Pros
The panel includes Daniel Le, Paul R. Hannah, Joan Humes, Mike Freeman, Terri Nelson and Judge Michael J. Davis.
End the evening by attending a performance of Roe, a story that precisely illustrates the fractured and fracturing history of one of the most polarizing social issues of the modern era.
Application approved for accreditation with the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education for 2.0 elimination of bias credits.
