More reasons to celebrate the artistry of Mixed Blood!
Mixed Blood is proud to be the recipient of not one but two Iveys handed out at the awards ceremony for professional theater on Monday, September 25, at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.
Acknowledged for their excellence was the acting ensemble for Mixed Blood’s production of Vietgone. Director Mark Valdez picked up the award for Sun Mee Chomet, David Huynh, Meghan Kreidler, Flordelino Lagundino and Sherwin Resurreccion.
Jack Reuler thanked the Iveys selection committee and his theatre colleagues for being recognized for “concept & execution” for last season’s Safe at Home. Reuler directed the site-specific show about baseball and immigration, in which audiences viewed scenes in nine different locations in the underbelly of CHS Stadium in St. Paul.
Bravo to all 2017 Ivey recipients and congratulations!
