Script Club Overview: Mixed Blood Theatre was founded in 1976 to produce shows that pay positive attention to difference, break down racial barriers, and make theater accessible to anyone and everyone.
For 45 years, social justice and new works have been at the heart of the mainstage programming. Script Club provides a monthly opportunity for theatre enthusiasts to virtually connect and share their thoughts, views, and reactions to a select script.
On Monday, September 20th, join us to discuss Angelica Chéri’s play, Berta Berta. It is wonderfully robust and tackles myth, magic, romance, race, and the prison industrial complex with poetic grace and sensuality. Reginald Douglas, Associate Artistic Director of Studio Theatre in Washington, DC will deftly and uniquely guide the conversation.
