Who should attend
Primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, social workers, nurses and other health care professionals who manage patients in the Cedar-Riverside Neighborhood.
The registration fee is supported by a grant from ArtPlace America. Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify how personal biases about immigrants may impact your style of medical practice
- Recognize cultural barriers that may prevent individuals from seeking medical care
- Apply strategies to effectively facilitate conversations about culture issues and health care
