Hollywood Lens on Lawyering provides Continuing Legal Education through film, tv, panel discussions, and group conversation.
This virtual presentation will take place from 9 am to 12:30 pm on June 9th, 2020 for three Ethics credits. The sessions costs $180.
Hollywood Lens on Lawyering excerpts scores of movies and television episodes from Tinseltown that pose ethical dilemmas consistent with the specific ethics standards mandated by the State of Minnesota.
Hollywood Lens on Lawyering is broken into three distinct components:
- Meet the Judge,
- Meet the Lawyer, and
- Meet the Client.
Some of the movies and television episodes include Erin Brockovich, The Verdict, Cape Fear, Liar Liar, Sweet Hereafter, Law & Order, Perry Mason, Suits, Blue Bloods, and The Practice.
Actor-attorney Chris Carlson leads panels of lawyers and judges and converses with the audience to advance understanding of ethics and bias from three perspectives:
- lawyer-to-lawyer, and
Panelists include Charles Weinstein (Founder & President, Ethical Leaders in Action).
