Madilynn Garcia

Project 154 Manager

Madilynn (she/her) joined Mixed Blood as Project 154 Manager in September 2017. Madilynn runs Project 154, which uses storytelling as a means to promote health and wellness in the Cedar-Riverside community. In the fall 2017 season, Madilynn also assistant-directed How to Use a Knife and will be the assistant stage manager for upcoming production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Before joining Mixed Blood, Madilynn completed a dramaturgy residency at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She was working as a freelance producer/manager in Portland, Oregon when she heard about the 154 position through a friend of Jack Reuler. In her new position, Madilynn enjoys the collaborative aspect of theatre and getting to engage and connect the Cedar-Riverside community.

Why Mixed Blood:

“Lots of silly things. I like how much Jack Reuler likes ice cream, because we all benefit from that. More seriously, I like all the people I meet – whether they’ve been connected to Mixed Blood for a long time or are just getting to know us, everybody’s starry-eyed about this place.”
