Alyssa Davis

House Manager

Alyssa Davis (she/her) started volunteering at Mixed Blood in 2016, helping pass out programs and sort surveys. She later stepped in as a house manager and box office assistant for the fall 2016 show, Orange.  As house manager, it’s important to Alyssa that all guests feel welcome and their needs are met. Alyssa thinks it’s awesome that Mixed Blood prioritizes the needs of its patrons before more technical aspects of its shows, like starting exactly on time.

Alyssa was born and raised outside of Dallas, Texas and moved to Minneapolis in 2016. She stumbled across the Firehouse and saw a staged reading on a visit to Minneapolis before she officially moved to the Twin Cities, and was immediately hooked. Mixed Blood’s mission and commitment to Radical Hospitality drew her back to volunteer and later into her current role as house manager.

Why Mixed Blood:

I love that Mixed Blood challenges the idea of what a ‘theater-goer’ looks like. You can come here and see a show without any prior knowledge of theater, but come away with the same impactful experience as someone who’s seen hundreds of theater performances. And how can I not mention Radical Hospitality? Come in anytime two hours before a show starts, and get a FREE ticket! Seriously – no strings attached!
